Swan ID

Here are some pictures of Swan bills to help with ID

1) Mute Swan Adult- bill orange with black knob.

2) Mute Swan Juv- Pinkish with no knob.

3) Bewicks Swan- smaller, shorter-necked than Whooper, yellow on bill very variable, but extends less far down bill and ends bluntly.

4)Whooper Swan- Adults bill yellow and black without a knob, the yellow extending towards the black tip at an acute angle.

5)Black Swan- Has white band near tip of red bill.
