Buzzard (Buteo buteo)
Buzzards live in cultivated country and also in uplands with wooded valleys.They feed on small mammals and other animals.Wings are held in a shallow V when soaring,and the bird may hang on the wind or sometimes hover.
Honey Buzzard (Pernis apivorus)
A summer migrant to European woodland which feeds on nests and larvae of wasps and bees. It winters in Africa, returning in April and leaving again by September.
Rough-legged Buzzard (Buteo lagopus)
A pale Buzzard of the Artic tundra or Scandinavian uplands which winters in central and eastern Europe. It feeds on small mammals, especially voles and lemmings. It frequently hovers when hunting.
